Lloyds Banking Group plans to cull 530 jobs and close one site in the UK before the end of this year.
The closure of a customer service unit in Kent will lead to 210 people losing their jobs, according to reports. A further 320 positions will go from retail operations throughout the UK, but there are no further details as yet. According to the firm, the work done at the Kent unit will be transferred to other retail sites across the county. The move comes after 625 job cuts were announced just last month as the bank merged its corporate and small business lending units. IFAonline
