IT path forked for multi-tie solutions

Survey respondents suggesting they are likely to go multi-tie in the next two quarters are divided over whether to do so using existing or new solutions.

Focus Solutions, which develops customer management software, says the answers came from delegates to an event it organised on the issue of going multi-tie. Technology, and the ability to automate milti-tie business is seen as a key issue by those responding to the survey, Focus Solutions says. However, targeting automation may be tackled in different ways: about a third of those surveyed say they will look to new solutions, while about four in ten say they will rely on their existing solutions.
