Regs and customers are focus of 2007

Regulation and customer-focussed initiatives are at the forefront of financial services firms' agendas in 2007, according to Clearconcepts' financial services discussion club.

Of the top 10 issues up for discussion at Clearconcepts’ forums, half are focussed around regulatory compliance, including the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), Capital Requirements Directive (CRD), anti-money laundering and principles-based regulation. The other half are centred on customer relations, such as complaints handling, financial promotions, communicating with customers, the treating customers fairly (TCF) initiative and customer retention.
