FTSE soars for second day

In London, markets flourished with the FTSE up 101.5 points (1.91%) to 5420.70

Ferrexpo shares made the day’s biggest gains rising 31 (11.73%) to 295.25p, while the Admiral Group gained 89, up 10.79% to 914p. Rexam, Aviva and Vedanta Resources also had a positive day. However, Lloyds TSB was London’s biggest loser as profits plunged earlier in the day. Shares dipped by 15, down 4.67% to 306p. Drax followed, down 14 (1.91%) to 719p. GlaxoSmithKline, Morrison Supermarkets and Smiths Group also saw losses.
