L&G unveils small IFA protection support team

Legal & General (L&G) has put together a team of specialists to help smaller advisers write more protection business.

The 11-strong squad or protection development managers (PDMs) will proactively target some firms, L&G says, although advisers in need of support can also contact the insurer to meet with a specialist. L&G says the team is able to work with firms that have "not traditionally" had regular contact with it, adding the PDMs will maintain a close working relationship with L&G's existing protection telephone sales team. "We realise the importance of having a face-to-face presence with IFAs and we are investing and expanding in this regard," says Martin Noone, protection IFA sales director. "...
