Tributes pour in for fund veteran Nils Taube

Tributes have been pouring in for one of Britain's most revered fund managers, Nils Taube, who died on Tuesday aged 79.

Taube, who was still as active as ever and in the process of setting up his own investment company, was Britain’s longest-serving fund manager, having run his own fund for 37 years from 1969. Steven Bishop, chief operating officer at Taube, Hodson & Stonex, of which Nils Taube was one of the founder members, says everyone at the firm was shocked by the news. “He was a great man,” he says. “He was a very able and successful fund manager and a very charismatic personality.” In a joint statement, the firm adds: "The partners and staff at Taube, Hodson & Stonex are deeply saddened by the rec...
