Government site tools up to help smaller firms

The DTI's Businesslink website has launched a series of free practice advice and tools to try and help smaller businesses and managers keep up-to-date on general regulatory changes and information to be supplied to employees.

Among the tools on offer through Business Link is Regulation Updates, a service which regularly sends subscribers a series of one-page updates to help keep smaller businesses informed of new legislation which might affect their firm, and where to get further guidance. A second service allows firms to create a written statement of employment which details everything they legally need to tell a new employee in writing and then produces it – to be printed on the firm’s PC – simply by answering a few questions.
