The trustee board of the charity Life Academy have nominated Alan Pickering to be their next chairman.
Formerly the Pre-Retirement Association, the Life Academy’s current chairman, Bob Bridges - who is also managing director of Capital Cranfield Trustees - will leave the post in November after a three-year term. Pickering, a senior consultant at Watson Wyatt, and the author of a government-requested report into pension simplification, will find out whether or not he has been accepted as chairman at the charity’s annual general meeting on 22 November.
