People are getting richer and the high net worth sector more populated, according to Legal & General.

The protection provider says as a result the sector is becoming an increasingly important part of the protection market. It says an increase in personal wealth is behind the shift, which has been achieved by making money through property and business. The firm says, according to statistics by nationwide, house prices have tripled in value in the past ten years resulting in appreciating assets for homeowners.
