Rolls-Royce drives FTSE higher

The FTSE 100 is up 45.3 points or 0.71% to 6,391.7, following a series of broker analyst upgrades on the back of yesterday's results.

BG Group is posting the biggest gains so far with a rise of 2.9% to 746p, closely followed by GlaxoSmithKline which is up 2.39% to £14.56, while Man Group has added 2.19% to 583.5p. Rolls-Royce Group is also up 1.9% to 496.75p after receiving three broker upgrades, while Amvescap has climbed 1.7% to 627.5p, although gains are being limited by Cable & Wireless which is down 0.56% to 176.75p. That said, Vodafone is the biggest loser so far with a drop of 0.83% to 149.25p, while BT Group has slipped 0.78% to 317.25p, Smith & Nephew has fallen 0.77% to 608.25p, and Carnival has declined 0...
