Funding offered for alternative IFA standard

Advisers wishing to become ISO 22222 accredited may be eligible for £1,000 worth of Government funding, cutting advisers' outlay more than two-thirds.

Standards International, the certification body behind ISO, says the offer, open until June, means the award can now be achieved at a cost of less than £440 instead of the normal fee of £1,375. Additionally, for advisers working towards chartered status, the ISO 22222 will provide an exemption from AF5, the financial planning process unit. UK-based small and medium-sized businesses with between five and 249 employees will be eligible for the funding.
