Women in the UK are more prepared for their future retirement than we are led to believe, with over a quarter seeking advice from their IFA, claims a global survey.
A study condcuted by HSBC reveals women in the UK are leading the way on investing for retirement with 26% of women having actively consulted their IFA compared to 21% of men, while 20% of women approached their bank for advice, 4% more than men. The report says women’s concerns about retirement are the driving force behind their preparedness with 57% aiming to rely on themselves to pay for their retirement, while 41% are concerned about outliving their money and over half are worried about being a burden on their family.
