Advice delivers a better retirement

People who take financial advice about pensions enjoy a better standard of living in retirement, according to Fidelity International.

A survey of over 1,400 conducted by NOP for the Fidelity Retirement Institute reveals around 70% of advised retirees did not have to cut back and enjoyed the same quality of living as before they retired, while 60% of unadvised retirees were forced to make cut-backs to their lifestyle. In addition the research revealed around 75% of all respondents admitted they had not consulted a financial adviser for assistance with retirement planning, with Fidelity suggesting the recent debate on the pensions white paper and Turner report has left the public disheartened and feeling there is no point...
