The FOS' decision to uphold a mortgage endowment complaint, arguing a fact find is not sufficient evidence of attitude to risk, has generated IFA feedback asking for consistency of decision-making by the ombudsman.
Steve Dodge of Impartial Adviser, says a similar case found in favour of the provider because the clients had previously held a with-profits endowment. “It is a shame the ombudsman cannot be consistent.
