Scottish Life is to improve its range of external fund links to give intermediaries access to funds that are more likely to meet their client's needs, by providing a 'fund matrix'.
The initiative is part of the company’s Managed Strategies proposition, and will see external funds chosen to meet a number of specific mandates. It says this approach is a deliberate departure from the common industry practises of selecting “flavour of the month” managers or simply providing as many fund links as possible. Old Broad Street Research (OBSR) has assisted an advisory committee in setting out the mandates for the initiative.
