Standard Life appoints protection marketing director

Standard Life Assurance has appointed Robert Watters as protection marketing director.

Watters will take up the newly-created role in early January 2007 and he will be responsible for developing and delivering the company’s strategy in the protection market. He previously headed up the UK & Ireland business unit at ReMark – a direct marketing and financial services firm – and, prior to this, he held marketing roles at firms such as Yorkshire Building Society and Scottish Life.
