A board member of the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) has been appointed acting chair of the Personal Account Delivery Authority (PADA) following Paul Myners's resignation.
PADA says Jeannie Drake, also a member of the Pensions Commission between 2002 and 2006, is set to hold the post until a permanent successor is found in the New Year. Myners’s exit at the beginning of the week represented a double blow to pensions reform in the UK following a cabinet reshuffle which saw Mike O’Brien removed as pensions minister. “The challenge facing the authority as it moves towards delivery is significant, but millions of people stand to benefit from the successful introduction of personal accounts, Drake says. “I look forward to continuing to work with the Board, and ...
