Scottish Friendly has appointed Michael Walker as its new chairman, taking over from existing chairman, Graham Webster.
The mutual hopes to use Walker's experience in financial services and international business to further grow its business. Walker has worked in business, legal and financial services for over 30 years, with 12 years at Scotland-based law firm Macklay Murray & Spens and stints at John Menzies plc and Lex Mundi. As well as taking up the role of Scottish Friendly chairman, he is also chairman of Walkers Shortbread and Broadgate PR, and is a director at Cornelian Asset Managers.
