Just under half of the women who will be affected by the future increase to the State Pension age do not know at what age they will be officially allowed to retire, suggests government research.
A survey released by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) reveals 43% of women, for whom the new system will apply, are not aware of their own State Pension age, and knowledge seems to be lowest among women more likely to have to rely on the State Pension in retirement.
