Reader Talkback: Adviser feeds back audio on national advice network

A financial intermediary at Lewin Hicking Partnership says proposals by the Resolution Foundation for a government-supported national advice network would be difficult to implement because consumer may not take the advice given.

Responding to a story published on Friday 15th September (Gov't should create national financial advice network – report) David Lewin - based in Leicester -suggests were a scheme introduced which is designed to give consumers advice, some form of waiver would need to be signed which states the consumer has taken advice but chosen not to follow it, in circumstances where it could impact, for example, state pension benefits.
