MetLife doubles sales force

MetLife Europe has doubled its sales force with plans for a further recruitment drive in 2009.

Building on the launch of Retirement Portfolio, the group plans to create 30 positions by the start of 2009, targeting a mix of graduates and experienced consultants. MetLife has already doubled its sales force to around 40, to support the product launch and handle the anticipated business growth. Mike Phillips, head of distribution at MetLife Europe, says: “We are delighted to be able to boost employment and take on more staff at a time when many firms are shedding employees."
