Gartmore has made its head of asset manager sales Simon Clark and head of strategic partners Julian Hince redundant, IFAonline understands.
Clark and Hince would be the first high-profile figures to leave the asset manager, which last week announced up to 75 staff would depart the firm. Joining Gartmore in January last year, Clark was responsible for running the asset manager sales team, following stints at Henderson and M&G. Hince joined Gartmore in December 2006, after moving from Invesco Perpetual. A Gartmore spokesperson did not confirm or deny the departures. "We are still in talks with a number of employees and until that process is complete we will not be commenting further," she says. IFAonline
