Trade associations including the Association of IFAs have joined together to promote positive messages about the financial services industry to consumers.
The organisations include the Association of IFAs (Aifa), the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Fay Goddard, deputy director general at Aifa, says the group is “sick of all the bad news” about the financial services industry and it wants to put out positive messages which show financial services "is actually good”. Jonathan French, press officer at the ABI, says an even closer relationship between the trade associations means they can coordinate responses to emerging issues more quickly and communicate information and advice to consumers ...
