Chocolate and kisses were definitely off the menu over the weekend when a demonstration was held in central London to protest the government's handling of bankrupt pension schemes, The Daily Telegraph writes.

Taking on the theme of the St Valentine’s Day Massacre in 1930s Chicago, members of bust schemes dressed up as ‘gangsters and molls’ to protest what they see as a woefully inadequate Financial Assistance Scheme. The £400m pledged to the FAS over 20 years will not do enough to protect the estimated 65,000 workers who have already seen their pensions disappear, but who will not be covered by the Pension Protection Fund coming in under new legislation, according to members of the Pensions Action Group, the paper writes.
