Fortis branches out into UK life market

General insurance specialist Fortis has today moved into the life protection market with the launch of Fortis Life.

The firm says it spotted an opportunity after reviewing the UK life market and has launched two products: Your Life Plan and Real Life Cover. The products will be available via a select group of advisers, including LifeSearch and Torquil Clark, before being rolled out to the rest of the market. In addition, Fortis Life says its systems tailor questions around the customers’ specific circumstances, remove the need for signatures, provide real-time updates and avoid GP reports “where possible”.
