TPR's 'trustee toolkit' tackles fund management

The Pensions Regulator has released the latest module in its online trustee training programme, which this time focuses on fund management issues.

Aimed at trustees of both defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pension schemes, the latest module is designed to focus on the relationship trustees have with their fund manager, and what they should expect from both them and investment consultants. In the new module trustees are taught how to: Review and measure a fund manger’s performance Select a fund manager Consider the various types of fund management – whether to opt for active/passive and value/growth Look at areas of corporate governance including shareholder activism and ethical investment Review investment...
