Early take-up of simplification studies

Around 1000 people are so far intending to take the Chartered Insurance Institute's new pensions simplification update course just one month after its launch.

Launched specifically to update financial intermediaries and pension administrators on the proposed changes to the pensions system, the CII unveiled the course in February and 500 people are already studying ahead of the first exam in April. Moreover, a spokesman for the CII says indications are around 1000 people are expected to study the course, but that figure could increase rapidly as the CII is only part-way through its direct marketing campaign to promote the concept. This comes at the same time as the CII reports a 300% increase in demand for its classroom-based revision course...
