90% don't trust industry enough to run Npss

Only 10% of consumers would most trust the financial services industry to manage a personal accounts system in their best interests, says Which?

A survey of 528 people, conducted by IPSOS on behalf of Which?, reveals 85% think it is important to be able to trust the organisation which is running their pension scheme, while 47% felt they would prefer the proposed system to be run by an independent body. The findings of the survey follow the government’s publication of its summary of responses to the white paper which outlines plans to establish a delivery authority which utilises the skills of the private sector, ahead of the white paper scheduled for the first week in December.
