Collins Stewart unveils UK Focus fund

Collins Stewart Fund Management has launched a new UK Focus fund, targeting undervalued stocks estimated to be at a 40 to 50% discount.

Managed by David Shapiro, the fund aims to outperform the FTSE All Share index with a concentrated portfolio of 30 stocks, held typically for a three to five year period. Shapiro joined Collins Stewart in August 2007, after heading up UK Value at Morley Fund Management. He has also managed funds at UBS Asset Management, Montanaro, the Universities Superannuation Scheme and Manulife.
