Rio Tinto rose 123 points, or 2.78%, to 4540p. Antofagasta rose 22.5 points, or 2.65%, to 872p. Lonmin rose 87 points, or 2.6%, to 3437p. Anglo American rose 74 points, or 2.28%, to 3319p. Man Group rose 12.5 points, or 2.23%, to 573p. Northern Rock fell 7.9 points, or 4.14%, to 182.8p. DSG International fell 2.6 points, or 2.16%, to 117.6p. Sainsbury fell 11.5 points, or 2.03%, to 554p. Tate & Lyle fell eight points, or 1.77%, to 442.75p. Hammerson fell 16 points, or 1.51%, to 1043p.
