A fully revised version of its Code of Guidance has been published by the Independent Pension Trustee Group.
The Group, which was formed in 2003 to promote awareness of the importance of the role of independent trustees, says the guide has been revised following the recent changes in pension legislation. First produced in 2004, the Code was originally produced by the IPTG, which operates under the auspices of The Pensions Management Institute (PMI), following discussions with both the Pensions Ombudsman and the Pensions Regulator, after it was recognised independent trustees must operate to the highest standards of governance.
