Straight-through processing still failing IFAs

IFAs are still struggling to complete straight-through processing of online new business applications as half of advisers end up having to intervene manually, suggests a new survey.

Research conducted on 200 IFA firms by FIS Software – which supplies software to providers Bright Grey and Axa – suggests financial intermediaries are worried they won’t be able to meet the more complex administration and servicing needs of client post depolarization, as 46% of IFAs say “technical glitches” lead to more than half of their applications requiring manual intervention. At least one in ten advisers say all of their electronic submissions require additional manual intervention. IFAonline
