Assets chased to fund Lifesearch expansion

Lifesearch is seeking fundraising opportunities from life insurance companies to help grow the protection business further.

Tom Baigrie, managing director at Lifesearch, confirmed the independent adviser protection intermediary has been in discussion with several providers concerning the raising of capital to help the business expand its current organic growth but stresses this action is similar to that taken by many other IFA and protection firms trying to stay in the market. The actual sum sought is said to be around £2m, however, there is no specific purpose for those funds at this stage other than to grow the business internally, as the company has no immediate plans to target the takeover of a new interm...
