Trading on the London indices is relatively mixed this morning, after Kingfisher started with gains and AstraZeneca began with losses.
The FTSE 100 index is flat within the first hour of trading, 4459 along with the FTSE All-Share index at 2227. Kingfisher, the high street home improvement retailer, has so far gained 8.75p or 2.9% to 306p after suggesting full-year earnings will be close to analysts upper expectations. At the same time, however, AstraZeneca, the paharmaceutical firm, is down 32p or 1.3% to 2,533p. And Sainsbury is down another 2p or 0.68% to 292.5p this morning, after yesterday’s shareholder revolt led to the ousting of Sir Ian Prosser as deputy chairman of the supermarket chain.
