British Energy Group rose 14.5 points, or 2.74%, to 543.5p. Tullow Oil rose 16 points, or 2.56%, to 642p. Unilever rose 33 points, or 1.95%, to 1729p. Sainsbury’s rose 9.5 points, or 1.75%, to 553.5p. BG Group rose 11 points, or 1.25%, to 892p. Barclays fell 38.5 points, or 6.74%, to 533p. Royal Bank of Scotland Group fell 27.75 points, or 5.56%, to 471p. British Sky Broadcasting Group fell 30 points, or 4.35%, to 660p. Lloyds TSB Group fell 22 points, or 4.14%, to 509p.
