Nigel Ward joins Money Portal as group CFO

Former John Charcol finance head Nigel Ward has joined Money Portal as group chief financial officer as the group continues to grow its new-look management team.

Ward was among those to lose his job at mortgage broker John Charcol in July as a result of what it called a "severe contraction" in the market. His appointment follows those of Richard Craven as executive vice chairman and Mark Lund as chief executive officer. Money Portal says Ward will be appointed to each of the boards of its regulated subsidiaries and will be responsible for ensuring a “first class finance function” across the group.
