Don't let the weekend snow fool you, there are only a couple of weeks until the start of the 2008 cricket season.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) officially launched the season yesterday, with insurers Friends Provident and LV= playing a major part in proceedings again this summer. Friends Provident returns as named sponsor of the 50-over competition and LV= continues its role as sponsor of the County Championship. In addition, Friends Provident has been confirmed as the first official sponsor of England aged-group cricket, on a two-year deal.
