Ex Skandia CIO Clive Hale bound for Bulgaria

Former Skandia chief investment officer Clive Hale is set to follow in the tyre tracks of Ewan McGregor by embarking on a round-the-world 20,000-mile motorbike ride to raise money for charity.

Hale, also head of investment liaison at Towry Law Investment Management until last year, will cross 20 countries including Mongolia and Siberia during the trip, which begins on 4 June and is scheduled to end in New York on 26 September. Inspired by McGregor's motorcycle adventures with pal Charley Boorman in the BBC's Long Way Round and Long Way Down, Hale hopes to raise £10,000 for SOS Children. He currently has just under £2,000.
