A laptop containing the personal details of 122 former directors of now-bankrupt companies has been stolen, the Insolvency Service reveals today.
Documents on the laptop detailed the activities of the directors as well as information on the investors in their companies, it says. The laptop was one of four stolen from offices in Manchester and also included information about the insolvency practitioners who submitted the relevant documents. A statement on the Insolvency Service website reads: “[We are] working with Greater Manchester Police to try to recover the computers that were stolen from its premises. “The Insolvency Service has provided dedicated telephone lines for persons who may be concerned about this loss of data.” ...
