Assurant Solutions Intermediary (ASI) has announced a new partnership with Personal Touch Financial Services (PTFS), which will see Assurant initially provide mortgage and payment protection cover through PTFS' online quote engine.
The arrangement will see the provider also offer buildings and contents insurance from a later date. "Its online quote engine makes it easy for advisers to find the most suitable and affordable policies to meet the needs of their clients," says Kevin Paterson, sales and marketing director at ASI. "Many intermediaries are looking to diversify into general insurance right now to try and make up for lost income resulting from the massive slowdown in the mortgage market."
