The Government should help improve education in the workplace and encourage auto-enrolment instead of focusing on the administration of a National Pensions Savings Scheme (NPSS), claims research from Winterthur Life.
In the Winterthur Business UK Pensions Report, a survey of the human resource and finance directors of 128 companies, revealed 86% believe the Government is to blame for the current pensions crisis and the £27bn savings gap. However the research showed the majority of respondents felt the responsibility for providing employees with financial security in retirement did not fall on the government.
