AXA boosts socially responsible team

AXA Investment Managers has boosted its socially responsible investing team after appointing a specialist in the field.

Pierre Stiennon has joined the firm as senior investment analyst and will report to Raj Thamotheram, director of the responsible investment department. Stiennon joins from HSBC London where he was global head of utilities research from 2004 to 2007. Having started his career in 1988 as an adviser in the corporate and project finance department of Suez-Tractebel in Brussels, Stiennon then worked for Goldman Sachs, Salomon Brothers and JPMorgan as a senior analyst and vice president in their London research departments.
