Hornbuckle's MD Neil Marsh dies

Neil Marsh, managing director of SIPP administrator Hornbuckle Mitchell, died on Tuesday after battling cancer for two and a half years.

Marsh, aged 48, continued to work alongside his team up to the day he died. He began his career in financial services 24 years ago and specialised in SIPPs and small self-administered schemes (SSASs) for 15 years. Hornbuckle says he feared the consequences of the dilution of the ‘full fat’ SIPP by the large insurers, believing consumers often think they have bought a SIPP when in fact they have bought ‘SIPPs in drag’ with limited capability.
