Standard Life fell 5.91%, or 15.25 points, to 242.75p after reports that the FSA asked it to investigate how staff handed information on the Resolution takeover to the press. Northern Rock fell 4.57%, or 4.2 points, to 87.7p In the US, the Dow Jones fell 1.32%, or 178.11 points, to 13339.85c as just Walt Disney and Microsoft rose. Walt Disney rose 0.76%, or 0.25 points, to 33.01c, while Microsoft rose 0.26%, or 0.09 points, to 35.31c.
