FTSE already down 111 points

The FTSE 100 is already down 111.8 points, or 1.83%, to 6,004.4, as commodity stocks continue to pull the index lower.

However British Airways is currently the biggest loser with a fall of 8.37% to 487p, on fears of more industrial action, while among mining stocks Xstrata has slipped 5.08% to £22.43, and Lonmin has dropped 3.98% to £29.40. Cairn Energy is also performing poorly with an early loss of 4.33% to £15.24, and Man Group has dropped 4.25% to 513p, meanwhile just three stocks are making gains with Royal & Sun Alliance up 1.52% to 150.5p, Scottish & Southern Energy has climbed 0.68% to £14.75, and HSBC holdings has added 0.51% to 890.5p.
