Research by Engage Mutual Assurance reveals 53% of people plan to spend their golden years travelling, while a third hope to buy a property abroad and 10% plan to spend their time skiing and snowboarding. But the findings show there is a stark contrast between what people expect and the realities of retirement, with the research showing just 23% of pensioners make it overseas on holidays, while just 7% buy a home abroad.
