Fidelity online ISA sales reach record levels

Fidelity International has reported record levels of online ISA sales through its investment supermarket Fidelity FundsNetwork.

Fidelity claims investors are getting to grips with the use of the web as an investment tool, as nearly two-thirds of its new ISA sales so far this year have been conducted online. It says the 119% increase on last year’s figures, is the highest level for any ISA season, and client log-ins to the website have also increased by 28% as investors have gone online to review their portfolio. Research commissioned by the company also reveals on in five UK investors are looking to invest online in 2006, with 27% men planning to log on, compared to just 14% of women.
