Advertising market trouble hits ITV shares

The FTSE fell 4.1 points, or 0.07%, to 5688.8 this afternoon as ITV continued to fall following reports the UK advertising market had dipped.

The broadcaster fell 4.7 points, or 6.92%, to 63.2 while London Stock Exchange Group fell 57 points, or 4.53%, to 1202. Antofagasta rose 25 points, or 3.7%, to 700.5 while HBOS rose 18.5 points, or 3.43%, to 558.5. The Dow Jones rose 25.24 points, or 0.21%, to 12241.64 as JPMorgan Chase led gains. The bank rose 1.09 points, or 2.55%, to 43.8 while General Motors rose 0.37 points, or 1.98%, to 19.04.
