Newcastle offers struc prod sales tips as demand rises

Newcastle Intermediary Services(IS), an arm of Newcastle Building Society, is offering sales tips for structured products via its website, as it warns advisers to prepare for an upswing in demand.

The website allows advisers to submit online applications and track commission. It also has a sales toolkit, literature library and online ordering system. Newcastle believes there will be a sharp increase in the popularity of structured deposit products. Its direct sales of the vehicles, through the Building Society, have surpassed predicted sales for Q1 2009 by more than 50%. It also highlights in 2008 the UK structured products market as a whole was worth £8.5bn in sales; an increase of just over a quarter on 2007.
