Running Winterthur's outsourced SIPP in-house will kick-start new firm AXA Winterthur Wealth Management's drive to the at-retirement market.
David Thompson, managing director of sales and marketing at the company, says the move will give it greater control over the service proposition and expresses his desire for the product to be “more than just a SIPP”. Thompson, who says the new company’s official launch date will be 16 October, also says AXA’s new multi-manager arm Architas will provide a range of tracker funds in Q4 before launching specialist products in Q1 2009.
